The following table gives you an overview about all data fields in our different Garmin Connect IQ™ applications. Please note that some of them might not be available in your specific application or might require the PREMIUM version.

ALT  Current altitude in meters or feet depending on your watch unit settings for elevation
A_CAD

 Average cadence information of the whole session

 Note:

 In the Cycling App Professional the average cadence value removes the phases where no pedalling was detected.

A_HR  Average heart rate information in bpm for the whole session
A_PACE  Average pace information of the whole session for 1 km/mi depending on your watch unit settings for distance
A_SPEED  Average speed information of the whole session  in km/h or mi/h based on your watch unit settings for distance 
A_PWR  Average power information in watt for the whole session 

 Note:

 Information is only precise enough with a compatible ANT+ power sensor or on watches with barometric altimeter (altitude  information is included in formulas which cannot be derived precisely from GPS as described here.)

A_VSPD  Average vertical speed in m/h or feet/h when session is running depending on your watch settings
CAD  Current cadence information
CL_DIST  Current LAP distance in km/mi depending on your watch unit settings for distance
CL_PACE  Current LAP pace for 1km/mi depending on your watch unit settings for distance
CL_SPEED  Current LAP speed (average) in km/h or mi/h depending on your watch unit settings for distance
CL_TIME  Current LAP time in the format hh:mm, h:mm:ss or mm:ss
DBG_1  Debug data field 1 which currently shows the free memory during runtime of the application
DIST  Distancy information in km or mi based on your watch unit settings for distance
DOWN  Negative altitude difference in meters or feet for the whole  session depending on your watch unit settings for elevation

 

 Note:

 Information is only precise enough on watches with barometric altimeter (altitude information cannot be derived precisely  from GPS as described here.)

ELAPS  Elapsed total session time (including IDLE time) in the format hh:mm, h:mm:ss or mm:ss
GRADE_%  Grade in percent. This information is derived from the distance and altitude information and averaged over the last x seconds.

 

 Note:

 Information is only precise if you have an ANT+ speed sensor and a barometric altimeter on your watch. Especially if the altitude information is derived from GPS, then it will not be very precise due to the physical limitations of GPS as described here.

HR  Current heart rate information in bpm
HR_ZONE

 Current heart rate zone in the range of 0.0 to 6.0 with following meaning:

  • 0.0 ... current heart rate below Zone 1  (minimum heart rate)
  • 1.0 - 1.9 ... current heart rate in Zone 1
  • 2.0 - 2.9 ... current heart rate in Zone 2
  • 3.0 - 3.9 ... current heart rate in Zone 3
  • 4.0 - 4.9 ... current heart rate in Zone 4
  • 5.0 - 5.9 ... current heart rate in Zone 5
  • 6.0 ... current heart rate above Zone 5 (maximum heart rate)

 NOTE : This data field is not supported on the EPIX as the Garmin API does not allow access to the heart rate profile.

 

 The value is derived from your heart rate user settings depending on the  application you are using.

  • MTB and Cycling App: use data from biking profile
  • Hiking App Professionaluse data from running profile
  • Interval Training App: use data from biking profile (for activity type Cycling) or from the running profile (for activity type Running/Generic)
  • Running App: use data from running profile
  • CCSkiing/Skiing App Professional: use data from running profile
  • Swimming App Professionalfeature currently not available  
HRZ_GOAL

 Heart rate zone goal (only supported in Interval Training App)

IDLE

 Idle session time where speed was below following user or application specific limit:

  • MTB and Cycling App:  user-specific value (default is 2.0 km/h or mi/h)
  • Hiking App: user-specific value (default is disabled)
  • Interval Training  App: user-specific value (default is 0.5 km/h or mi/h)
  • Running App: user-specific value (default is 0.5 km/h or mi/h)
  • CCSkiing App: user-specific value (default is 0.5 km/h or mi/h)
  • Skiing App : user-specific value (default is 1 km/h or mi/h)
  • Swimming App: no Auto Start/Stop feature implemented!
INT_LEFT

 Number of left interval repetitions

INT_NEXT  Open distance or time until the next interval starts
KCAL  Kilo-calories consumption for the whole session
LAP  Current LAP number
LL_DIST  Last LAP distance in km/mi depending on your watch unit settings for distance
LL_PACE  Last LAP pace for 1km/mi depending on your watch unit settings for distance
LL_SPEED  Last LAP speed (average) in km/h or mi/h depending on your watch unit settings for distance
LL_TIME  Last LAP time in the format hh:mm, h:mm:ss or mm:ss
MOVE  Moving session time (without IDLE time) in the format hh:mm, h:mm:ss or mm:ss
M_CAD  Maximum cadence information of the whole session
M_HR  Maximum heart rate information in bpm for the whole session
M_HR_%

 Current heart rate in percenage of maximum heart taken from the user settings depending on the application you are using.  Please refer to HR_ZONE for further details.

 

  NOTE : This data field is not supported on the EPIX as the Garmin API does not allow access to the heart rate profile.

M_PACE  Maximum pace information of the whole session for 1 km/mi depending on your watch unit settings for distance
M_SPEED  Maximum speed information of the whole session in  km/h or mi/h based on your watch unit  settings for distance
M_PWR  Maximum power information in watt for the whole session (only precise enough with a compatible ANT+ power sensor)
M_VSPD  Maximum vertical speed in m/h or feet/h when session is running depending on your watch unit settings for elevation
PACE 5s  Current pace of the last 5 seconds (contineously calculated) for 1 km/mi depending on your watch unit  settings for distance
PACE 10s  Only Swimming App: Current pace of the last 10 seconds for confiugred distance
PACE_REQ  Required PACE in order to achieve the configured race gool
PRESSURE  Barometric pressure in hecto-pascal or milli-bar
PWR

STEP_G  Step goal for today
STEP_G%  Step goal percentage achievement for today
TEMP  Current temperature in celsius or fahrenheit depending on your watch unit settings for temperature
TIME  Current time in 12/24h format based on your watch system settings
T_AHEAD  Time prediction you are ahead/behind of your defined race finish time in the format hh:mm, h:mm:ss or mm:ss
T_FINISH  Time prediction until you finish your race (based on given distance) in the format hh:mm, h:mm:ss or mm:ss 
UP  Positive altitude difference in meters or feet for the whole  session depending on your watch unit settings for elevation
